2005: Golden Train in STAY at the GEH
During
2005 I was part of an exciting new artist's career development project,
Escalator, funded by the Arts Council.
As part of this project I developed a site specific work, commissioned
in partnership with the Great Eastern Hotel, Liverpool Street in London.
The exhibition was in the first half of July 2005 and involved video
projections and a 2 metre long Golden train. As a part of the artwork,
CORGI the toy and model manufacturer kindly agreed to donate one of
their latest working scale models due to be released this year. I covered
the loco with gold leaf and installed it in the masonic temple within
the hotel. I have also made two related projections which were displayed
in the hotel.
