Work in Sternberk, Czech Republic, 2005

Here I put new actors - artists from the Sternberk International Art Symposium - into an old context, in the same way that old masters used to present themselves and their surroundings in the roles of angels, commanders, sphinx, prelates. Fresco, an art form fixed to its place of origin, here became transferable and portable. The public could see Mark's "new age fresco" on empty arches of the monastery or on the flat ceiling in the Gallery "G" in Olomouc or anywhere the artist decides.
